He’s a flamboyant all-rounder: Meet Nasir Lone

Srinagar, April 15: When you idolise Indian great Virat Kohli, you have to be consistent like him and Nasir Lone is that player. He is often nicknamed Nasir Kohli by his ardent fan.
Nasir lone is a superstar in every right for people of Bandipora. He is more famous than any player in Bandipora. He hasn’t disappointed his fans. He has played 5 nationals along with a national with kashmir university. He is also among the unique bunch of player’s from valley to have made it to Vizzy trophy.
Nasir started playing cricket when he was a kid. He picked up the bat and ball just like kids do.
But, he would have never thought, he would make it this far. Hasn’t he made it big already? Yes, he has and is by far one of highly rated all-rounders in valley.
He had a brilliant season with J&K U23 team this year where he churned out his best performances for JK. It wasn’t until 16 years of age, Nasir realised that he can take cricket as a career.
Nasir thanks Raja Saleem, a great cricketer himself from Bandipora for showing him right path and direction. He also thanks his family specially his dad for always being there.
He was only 14 years of age, when he joined North Kashmir’s best cricket club, BCC Reds Bandipora. From there, he never looked back. With his presence in the team, BCC is a force to reckon with everywhere.
Later on, he joined Amar Singh Cricket Club in Srinagar and has been it’s crucial part in the team set-up.
Nasir has been a star performer in local cricket too. He has scored many centuries and countless fifties. He has also won countless player of the match and player of the tournament awards.
Nasir has played in every cricket League of Kashmir and has made his presence felt where ever he plays and is also thankful to Parvez Rasool, who has helped him along the way.
With age at his disposal, Nasir is sure to for a longtime for J&K at highest level.
