National Cycling: J&K cyclist Bilal broke record at national level

Bilal Dar broke record at National level

Srinagar, Feb 01: Medal boy of Jammu and Kashmir Bilal Ahmad Dar has set another National record in National Cycling championship, he won gold medal in 71st Track National Cycling Championship 2019 Rajasthan.
Bilal representing J&K finished the 3 KM outdoor track Individual Pursuit event with the timing of 3:38 which is a record, earlier record was 3:44 which was set by Raju Bharti last year and Bilal who is the top cyclist of the country has also set record last year in U-18 individual Pursuit indoor cycling 3 KM competition at Delhi with the timing of 3:26, earlier the record was 3:30 Bilal finished it in 3:26 and creates history.


Bilal is getting training at sports authority of India from last few years and has won dozens of medals for J&K state as well as for country in international cycling championship.
Bilal is the only cyclist of Jammu and Kashmir who has represented country at international level, no other cyclist from J&K has represented country at International level.
