Spartan Strikers win thrilling semifinal enters into final
Palhallan, Oct 09: Spartan Strikers defeated ACC Andegam by 2 runs in the semifinal match of inter-village cricket tournament Palhallan on Friday.
Earlier, Spartan Strikers Palhallan won the toss and elected to bat first while batting first they scored 126 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted overs. Rayees scored 46 runs while as Hilal Contribute unbeaten 30 runs. For ACC Andegam Reyaz took 3 wickets while Sajad took 2.
In reply, chasing a small target ACC Andegam fought well but remained 2 runs short from the target. ACC Andergam didn’t start well lost the first 5 wickets on the score of 47 runs in which Danish scored 27 while as Asif added 25 & Farooq with 22 from. Showkat Bhat, Ashraf Dar & Showkat Dar took 2 wickets each while Bilal Tantray took 1 wicket.
Hilal was awarded man of the match for his all-round performance.
