Saqlain Tariq of Jammu and Kashmir selected for India Camp
Srinagar, May 29: Saqlain Tariq an international Volleyball player of J&K state on the basis of his excellent performance in National Volleyball Championship has been selected to undergo two month Coaching Camp of Indian senior Volleyball team being held at SAI NS Bangalore from 30th may 2019.
As per communication from Secretary General VFI Ramavtar Singh Jakhar to General Secretary Volleyball Association of J&K Vijay Kumar Magotra the name of Mr Saqlain has been shortlisted for the camp prior to participation in the 20th Asian Senior Volleyball Men’s Championship to be held at Iran from September 13 to 21 2019.
Not only this the name of Saqlain Tariq has also been recommended in selection trials of Indian Volleyball team U-23 being held at SAWAI MAAN SINGH Stadium Jaipur in the Last week of May 2019.
Saqlain Tariq a renowned international Volleyball player from Poonch the border District of J&K state, has already represented India in 10th Asian Youth Volleyball Championship which was held at Colombo Srilanka in the year 2014.
Besides this, star volleyball player of J&K state Tariq has participated in BRICS Gams at Johansberg (South Africa) and got bronze medal for India in Volleyball.
In the recently concluded PRO Volleyball league Championship at Kochi/ Chennai Saqlain Tariq superb performance in the game has been widely acclaimed.
Saqlain Tariq trek record in the field of Indian Volleyball game has been amazing. The J&k Govt. has sanctioned the State Sports Award with citation and cash prize of Rs. 51000/-in favor of Saqlain Tariq. Apart from Mr. Saqlain Tariq is already recipient of S. Rangil Singh Award of Sports excellence by J&K Olympic Association in which cash prize of Rs. 21000/-was given to him during the year 2018-19.
The office bearers of Volleyball Association of J&K headed by SHRI Sidharth Daluja President have congratulated Mr. Saqlain Tariq for excellent recognization in Volleyball arena in India /abroad. The office bearers also expressed their gratitude to Mr. Mohd. TARIQ mentor/father of Mr. Saqlain Tariq & other family members for their untiring endeavors in grooming Mr. Saqlain in sports. The members also expressed that Mr. Saqlain Tariq should become a role model for all sportsmen of the state in general and in Volleyball game in particular in near future.
