Khan Sultans lifts the title of ACPL Anantnag 2019

Anantnag, July 24: The famous team of District Anantnag, Khan Sultans became the Champion team of Anantnag Cricket Premier League (ACPL) 2019 by defeating Anantnag Titans team in the final by 3 wickets here at Sports Stadium Anantnag.

Earlier, Anantnag Titans won the toss and elected to bat first. While batting first Anantnag Titans struggled from the beginning and were never in the Game until Junaid Padder played a cameo at the end and helped his team to post 134 runs on the board.

In reply, while chasing the Khan Sultans lost their first wicket of Abdul Samad in the very first over and were once they were 40 for 3, then Shabir lefty and Nasir Kumar played brilliant innings of 34 and 49 runs respectively and helped their team to bring the title home.

Finally Khan Sultans won the title in the last over of the match by 3 wickets and became the champion team of ACPL season-I.

While from Anantnag Titans Javaid Jadu and Manzoor Pandav bowled superbly in the match, but could not pave the way for their team to emerge victorious in the match.

On the final Match occasion, some legendary cricketers and Sports personalities of the state were present, who distributed the trophies and prizes among the players and officials of the tournament.

On the final award ceremony, Winners team was given cash prize of 2.5 lakh with trophy while as Runners-Up team was given cash prize of 1.5 lakh cash and a trophy, third place team was given cash prize of Rs 50,000. While as 10 & 5 thousand rupees including a Honda Activa Scooty was given to some players for their performances in the tournament.

On the occasion Manzoor Nath was adjudged as Man of the match,while as Imtiyaz Lefty was adjudged as Player of the Tournament, Saleem Mir was adjudged as best bowler of the tournament, Wahid Zahoor and Nasir Kumar were adjudged as Emerging players of the tournament and Imran Bazaz was adjudged as best batsman of Tournament.

Besides this, there were some other awards given to players, officials and guests of the tournament.

The final match was witnessed almost by 10 thousand spectators with great enthusiasm and zeal, while on social media near about 2 lakh people watched the match on social media.

Later they lauded the management for organizing such a beautiful league in the district.
