Srinagar Gymkhana qualified for pre-quarters
Srinagar Gymkhana defeated HCC Reds Hardwara in a thrilling match by two wickets in the ongoing Wular Premier League here at Sheikh-Ul-Aalam Sports Ground Tarzoo on Friday afternoon.
Earlier, after winning the toss Srinagar Gymkhana invited HCC Reds to bat first, while batting first HCC Reds scored 143 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Asif was the highest scorer with 50 runs while Akeel Banday and Umer made 16 runs each for the team. Ubaid, Owais Shah and Ishfaq took two wickets each for Srinagar Gymkhana.
In reply, while chasing the target Srinagar Gymkhana finished the target in the last over of the match for the loss of eight wickets. Umar Dagga scored 40 runs Asif and Imtiyaz Dar made 23 and 21 runs respectively in the chase. Adil, Shahnawaz and Akeel Banday took two wickets each for Reds. Srinagar Gymkhana won the match by two wickets and enter into the Pre-Quarters of the league.
Umer Dagga was declared player of the match for scoring brilliant match winning 40 runs. Asif Syed was given Super Sixes award for hitting two sixes in the match.
