Imtiyaz Lefty hits 4th consecutive half century, GGC Humhama qualified for Quarters

GGC Humhama defeated Eleven Brothers Kashmir in a thrilling match by 5 runs in the ongoing Wular Premier League here at Sheilh Ul Aalam Sports Ground Tarzoo on Thursday.

Earlier, after decided to bat first with the help of Run machine of Budgam Imtiyaz Lefty’s 4th consecutive half century (57), Muneeb Munaf’s 49, Zahid Dar’s 44 and Suhail Paul’s quick 32 GGC Humhama scored a good total of 199 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Imran Haroon took two and Asif took one wicket for Eleven Brothers Kashmir.

In reply, while chasing the target of 200 runs Eleven Brothers Kashmir fought well but couldn’t finish the target and remained 6 runs short from the said target. They scored 194 runs in the allotted 20 overs. In the last two overs Eleven Brothers were required 35 runs but they manage 29 runs, it was Abraar Peer’s brilliant unbeaten 54 runs knock who took the match very close but couldn’t finish the target.
Abrar Peer unbeaten 54 off 22 balls, Suhail made 43 and Imran Haroon scored 28 runs for the team. Sajad Hussain and Rouf took three and two wickets respectively for GGC Humhama.
Imtiyaz Lefty was declared player of the match for his brilliant all-round performance, he scored 57 rums and took one wicket for his team. Abraar Peer was given Super Sixes award for hitting four huge sixes.
