Amir Afzal shines in Sultan Warriors win
Sultan Warriors Srinagar defeated Chadoora Blues by one wicket in the ongoing Wular Premier League here at Sheikh Ul Aalam Sports Ground Tarzoo on Monday.
Earlier, after winning the toss Chadoora Blues decided to bat first while batting first they scored 159 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Tawseef scored 37 while Mehraj made 33 runs for the team. Amir took three and Numaan took one wicket for Sultan Warriors.
In reply, the Sultan Warriors chased the target in the last over of the match after losing nine wickets. Sabit Khan, Mehran and Afzal scored 36, 26 and 22 runs respectively. Amir took three wickets for Sultan Warriors.
Amir Afzal was declared player of the match for his all-round performance, he took three wickets and scored 22 important runs for the team. Mehran won super sixes award.
The tournament is organized by Sports Association Tatzoo.
