Sameer hits ton, UCE Wanigam register 151 runs victory
Palhallan, November 06: UCE Wanigam defeated Kandi Stars Kreeri by 151 runs in the ongoing Winter Cup Palhallan on Friday at Palhallan cricket ground.
Earlier, after winning the toss Kandi Stars Kreeri invited UCE to bat first. While batting UCE Wanigam set a huge total of 217 runs for the loss of only one wicket in the allotted 20 overs in which Sameer smashes all over the ground and scored unbeaten 107 runs while Dr. Shoib contributed unbeaten 51runs & Aatif added 46 runs in the target.
In reply, Kandi Stars Kreeri failed to chase a huge target & were bundled on 66 runs in 11.5 overs. For them, Asif remains the top scorer of 21 runs other batters couldn’t even reach double-figure, from bowling side Khaleef Rabada took 4 wickets while Tanvir took 3.
Sameer was declared man of the match for his unbeaten 107 runs.
