Ramhall Reds beat Young Stars Chogal by 3 wickets in the ongoing Angels Trophy Kulangam.

Skipper Young Stars opted to bat first after winning the toss. They started cautiously and were going good at the halfway stage. After the 10 over mark they were 72/2 before Reds skipper Bhat Musa spun a web around Young Stars batsmen to leave them reeling at 96 for 6 after the 14 overs. Musa dried up the runs and broke through the middle order of Young Stars to claim a 4-fer. He ended up with the figures of 4-23-4. Young stars somehow crawled their way to a below par 123. Pick of the bowlers for Ramhall side were Bhat Musa with 4 wickets and John Mir who bowled a disciplined spell and did not give anything to Young Stars batsmen, he bowled 2 maiden overs in his 4 overs quota and gave just 7 runs and picked up a couple of wickets also. Apart from Junaid Dar’s 24 and Sofair’s 28 no other batsmen of Young Stars could score much, thus finished on 123.

In reply, chasing the target, it looked like a cakewalk at the half way stage but Young Star bowlers made ways difficult for Ramhall batters to score. At one stage Ramhall Reds were going good before Muhammad Waseem broke through them and took 3 wickets in an over to leave Ramhall struggling at 61 for the loss of 7 wickets. The onus were on Amir Khan (Anwar) and Asif War to bail their side out of trouble and they made sure there are no more hiccupps further. They stitched an unbeaten partnership of 63 runs and helped their team win the contest by 3 wickets. Asif war scored a gritty 42 of 27 balls while Amir Khan scored run a ball yet an effective 27. For Young Stars Muhammad Waseem was pick of the bowlers who bowled a great spell picking up 4 wickets.

Later at the presentation ceremony Bhat Musa For his brilliant bowling figures was awarded player of the match. However, he dedicated his award to Aasif War.

With this win Ramhall Reds move in to the next round of the tournament.
