Abhimanyu Easwaran’s 99, Anustup Majumdar’s 92, and Arnab Nadi’s 4-fer help Bengal, to defeat J&K by a huge margin of 82 runs at Kolkata on Saturday afternoon in a one-sided contest of Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Jammu and Kashmir skipper Pervez Rasool again won the toss and decided to field first. Bengal lost their first wicket on 8 when Mujtaba Yousf dismiss Abhishek Varma on (6) he was caught by Aadil Rashid behind the wickets. The highlight of the day was Esawaran’s 99 Anustup Majumdar’s 92 Ritwik Chaudhary’s 55 and late blitz of Kaif’s 42 (27 balls) and Shahbaz Ahmed’s 48 of 17 balls with the help of 4 boundaries and 4 Sixes help Bengal to Post a mammoth total on the board 368 runs for the lost of 4 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. For J&K Mujtaba Yousf took 2 wickets conceded 79 runs Aabid Mushtaq took 1 wicket (1/54) The other bowlers were taken to cleaners Umran Malik Concedes 98 runs for his only wicket. Mujtaba Yousf (10-79-2) and Pervaiz Rasool also remain wicketless conceded 67 runs in his 8 overs. Umer Nazir (10-42-0).

In reply, the J&K team got off to a very good start as the openers Shubham Khujaria and Aadil Rashid put 68 runs for the opening wicket. Shubham Khujaria 44 Pervaiz Rasool 50 and continuing his good form Aabid Mushtaq scored 68 runs were the notable contributions from J&K. Bandeep Singh and Shubham Pundir didn’t trouble the scorer as both were out for a duck. J&K batsmen got a good start but they were not able to convert them into a big score Heenan Malik 28, and Usman Pandith made 19 runs. Thus, J&K was dismissed on 286 runs. Arnab Nadi was pick up the bowlers with a 4 Wicket Haul and Mukesh Kumar bagged two wickets. This was a dismal performance by the J&K team. Earlier there were 4 changes in the J&K team Ab Samad, V Sharma, Aqib Nabi, and Suraynsh Raina made their way to Heenan Malik, Usman Pandith, Adil Rashid, and Umran Malik.
