Ubaid shines in Zoonimar Cricket Club win
Srinagar, July 02: Zoonimar Cricket Club defeated BHSS Gulab Bagh in the ongoing Unity Cup T20 Zakoora on Thursday.
Earlier, toss won by ZCC and they decide to bowl first. BHSS Gulab Bagh batting first scored 144 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Bowlers of ZCC (Iqbal Shah, Faisal, Aqib, and Umer Asif) did a tremendous job to restrict the opposite team on 144 runs.
In reply, ZCC started brilliant and their openers Asif and Adil Khanday made the first wicket partnership of 55 runs in 6 overs in which Adil Khanday made quick-fire 43 runs and took ZCC in a commanding position, but after that ZCC lost their openers and then middle order also collapsed. It was Ubaid Bhat who played a match-winning unbeaten knock of 46 runs and sensible innings from Sheikh Manzoor took ZCC to home.
Ubaid was declared man of the match for his outstanding innings of unbeaten 46 runs. With this win, Zoonimar Cricket Club qualifies for quarter-finals of the tournament.
