Three J&K players win Medals in the International Sqay championship
September, 15: Three players from J&K wins the Gold medal in the online International Sqay Artistic Championship 2020. India won 24 medals, 9 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals and lifts the overall championship while Pakistan finished 2nd, Jordan & Iraq got jointly 3rd in the overall competition. 19 country’s participated in the said championship.
Mir Arslan Mehraj from Pulwama, Raja Younis Tak from Shopian won Gold, and Seerat Jan from Budgam won the Silver medal for the UT as well as for the country. The President of the Jammu & Kashmir Sqay Association Peer Riyaz Ahmad Shah congratulates the winners and said that J&K has a lot of talent in the Sqay game and for the development of the Sqay game we are conducting regular coaching camps and the academies of the Association are working hard for to pick the best from the UT. We have opened the coaching centers and academies in far-flung areas of the UT we hope that in the near future J&K UT players will show the much better result in the National and International arena.
