Sports Fraternity of Kashmir hails Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for giving special attention to Sports Infrastructure
The Sports fraternity of Kashmir has expressed its gratitude to the government for paying special attention to the promotion of games in Jammu and Kashmir.
The sports fraternity has hailed the J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha who is also the President of the Sports Council, Secretary of Youth Service and Sports Sarmad Hafeez, and Secretary of JK Sports Council Nuzhat Gul for setting up world-class cricketing and other sports facilities in whole UT to foster the young talent.
The fraternity while acknowledging the efforts of the government towards cricket and other sports activities in Jammu and Kashmir has said that the administration has put forth unwavering support for promoting sports and nurturing talent in the region.
The Sports Fraternity has congratulated the Secretary Sports Council for creating world-class sporting facilities and fostering a culture of excellence.
They said in a statement that the council had taken significant strides in developing cricketing and other sports infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir under the dynamic leadership of J&K LG Manoj Sinha, the Sports Council headed by Nuzhat Gull has established state-of-the-art cricketing facilities like Turf Wickets, Flood Lights, Rollers across Jammu and Kashmir.
The fraternity said such positive moves provide a platform to aspiring cricketers with top-notch training grounds to refine their skills.

“These initiatives have not only enhanced the game level but also helped identify and nurture promising talents from all corners of the region,” the association said.
The sports fraternity of Kashmir believes that the establishment of modern sports complexes, stadiums, and training centers has encouraged the youth to actively participate in a wide range of sports actively, fostering a healthier and more active lifestyle among the community.
The council’s relentless pursuit of excellence serves as an inspiration to sports bodies across the country. We applaud their vision, dedication, and achievements, and stand eagerly to witness the bright future that they are helping to build for the aspiring athletes of J&K.
The associations said that earlier one cricket turf was set up at Sheri Kashmir stadium which however remains inaccessible for budding cricketers because everyone can’t reach and play but now the Sports Council made too many turf wickets for players was a dream come true for cricketers.
However, the government’s decision to set up cricket, football, and hockey turfs in j&k brought cheers to sports lovers.
The associations said that both outdoor and indoor sports facilities have witnessed a boom since the joining of Nuzhat Gul as Secretary of Sports Council J&K.
She played a major role in promoting cricket and other games in Kashmir.
