Abid Gul shines, Arabi Jewellers Srinagar register 8 wicket victory
Andergam, July 19: Arabi Jewellers CC defeated Affarwat X1 by eight wickets in the on going Rehman Cup T20 Cricket Tournament here at Andergam on Friday.
Earlier, toss won by Affarwat Xi Skipper and elected to bat first, while batting first team was bundled out on 82 runs. Showkat was the highest scorer with 38 while Ishfaq made 13 runs. Aabid Gul took 4 and Hilal Raja took 3 wickets for Arabi Jewellers.
In reply, while chasing the low target Arabi Jewellers CC lost four wickets in the chasing process and won the match comfortably. Qaisar with 40 while Shakoor with 30 and Abid Gul who faced only two balls hit two big sixes and score 12 runs not out. Lateef and Shahid took 1 Wicket each for Affarwat Xi.
Abid Gul was declared man of the match for his all-round performance in which he took 4 wickets and scored 12 in two balls. Hilal was given best moment of the match award he took 3 wickets and Super Sixes award was given to Qaisar for hitting 4 big sixes.
The tournament is organized by Cricket Association Andergam Pattan.
