PENCAK SILAT selected JK team for 2nd Federation Cup 2017 at Navi Mumbai Maharashtra.
iSrnagar : 32 boys and girls players from Pencak Silat Association of Jammu and kashmir was cleared by the screening committe of Jammu and kashmir state Sports Council held at Bakhshi Stadium Srinagar today.
The state team will depart from Srinagar to Maharashtra on 25th December for the onward participation in the 2nd Federation Cup Pencak Silat 2017 at Navi Mumbai Maharashtra from 28th to 29th December 2017.
During the championship, The junior players will be shortlisted for the Junior World Pencak Silat championship 2018 at Pataya, Thailand and Senior players will be shortlisted for the 18th Asian Games 2018-Jakarta and Test event to Asian games and preparations for the Asian Games.
Pencak silat is an indonesian originated martial arts for the first time in the Asian games 2018 as the highest medal event of the Games
Pencak Silat Sport is duly recognised by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Government of India, Sports authority of India and Jammu and kashmir state Sports Council
The team will represent under the banner of Jammu and kashmir state Sports Council .
