Ashok, Rafkat dazzle as Districts Doda, Ramban script wins

Ashok of District Doda and Rafkat of District Ramban sparkled as District Doda and District Ramban registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing LG Rolling Trophy Cricket Tournament, being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Khel Gaon, Nagrota, near here.
In the first match, District Doda defeated District Kathua in an easy contest by 4 wickets.
Batting first, Kathua scored 142 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, Doda chased the target by losing 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Ashok of District Doda was awarded man of the match for scoring brilliant 53 runs.
In another match, District Ramban got the better of District Poonch by 6 wickets.
Batting first, Poonch scored a modest total of 122 runs in the allotted overs.
In reply, District Ramban chased the target easily in 24.2 overs by losing 4 wickets to win the match by 6 wickets.
Rafkat of Ramban scored brisk 27 runs off just 10 balls and took 2 important wickets which fetched him man of the match award.
The man of the match awards to the winners were presented by Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu, Suram Chand Sharma in the presence of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
The tournament is being held under the chairmanship of Director Youth Services and Sports J&K, Subash Chander Chibber and under the supervision of Deputy Director Central, Jitender Mishra.
