International cricketer Joginder Sharma inaugurates KPCCL at Gurugram

GURUGRAM, Nov 5: International cricketer and Member of Indian T20 World Cup winning team Joginder Sharma inaugurated Kashmir Premier Cricket and Cultural League (KPCCL) in an impressive, well attended and colourful function at Gurugram, today.

While Joginder Sharma was the chief guest in the inaugural ceremony, Raj Nehru, Vice Chancellor Shri Vishvakarma Skill University was the guest of honour on the occasion.

As many as 55 teams drawn from various cities across India are taking part in this cricketing extravaganza, with 24 (main draw), 15 (veterans), 8 (children) and 8 (women).

The three-day mega event will witness over 100 matches to be played across 20 selected venues in Gurugram and adjoining areas.

The participating teams are from NCR, Jammu, Kashmir, Punjab, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Pune, Mumbai and other parts of the country.

The event is also a Support to Fit India Movement Initiative by Prime Minister where our families are joining for sports activities to keep good health after the devastating affect of COVID all over the world.

The event is being sponsored by Romesh Pandita, Chairman Alcobrew Group; Kuldeep Kaul, Chairman Horizon Broadcasting; Ramesh Ji Aggarwal, Bikanerwala, besides other sponsors.

Famous RJ Abhimanyu Kak came all the way from Mumbai to play and be part of this mega event. He also entertained the gathering alongwith famous Comedian Anil Koul Chingari.

Police band entertained with musical beats amid National anthem and patriotic songs.

The event is being organised by Kashmir Peace Lovers (KPL) Gurugram under the overall supervision of its trustees Ajay Pandita, Dr RK Jalali, Pankaj Dhar, Vikesh Trisal and Mithlesh Labru.

Speaking on the occasion, Joginder Sharma lavished praise on the organisers for this mega initiative of involving over fifty teams in the event.

He praised the spirit of Kashmiri Pandita and termed them patriotic to the core.

He was ecstatic to see the zeal and zest of a large gathering of Kashmiri Pandits around him during the presentation ceremony.
