Harnag Sports lifts Ramzan Cup Veeri Anantnag title
The grand final of Veeri Cricket Association’s “Ramzan Cup 2023” was won by Harnag Sports by defeating Shah-e-Hamdan Cricket Club Guree by 8 wickets today on 21/05/2023 here on Tarbal Ground Veeri Anantnag.
Earlier while batting first SHCC Guree scored mammoth total of 185 runs on the board, in which Iqbal Veeri scored brilliant 60 runs, Sameer scored 42 runs and Aadil Veeri scored 22 runs. In reply Harnag Sports chased down the target easily with the help of Saleet Rather’s brilliant 125 runs off 45 balls along with Lateef’s unbeaten 37 runs knock. Thus Harnag Sports won the match by 8 wickets and emerged as winner of the grand finale of Ramzan Cup 2023.
On the post match presentation ceremony, Saleet Rather was adjudged as Man of the match for his brilliant 125 runs off 45 balls. Saleet was also declared as man of the tournament as well for his allround Performances throughout the Tournament which includes 400 runs and 13 wickets (with 2 Hundreds). The winning team was awarded with cash prize of 12 thousand rupees along with the Winner’s Trophy and Runner up team awarded with 7 thousand rupees along with the Runner up Trophy. The tournament was organised by Veeri Cricket Association, in which 32 team from the district Anantnag participated with zeal and zest.
