Aqib Mir’s allround show helped Sultan Warriors Baramulla to register seven wicket victory in BCF Kashmir cup.

Aaqib Mir’s brilliant knock and Sultans bowlers helped them open an account of win in the ongoing BCF Kashmir Cup here at Jhelum Stadium Baramulla. Riding on Aqib Mir’s allround performance Sultan Warriors Baramulla Beat Spartan Strikers Magam by 7 wickets.

Earlier, the Spartan Strikers after batting first did not get any momentum in their innings as their batters struggled against Sultans disciplined bowling. They only managed to put 126 runs on the board with Harsh Panwar and Deepak Kashyap top scoring with 26 and 20 runs respectively. All the bowlers of Sultans were economical with Faisal Dar, Aqib Mir, and Zahid picking up 3, 2 and 2 wickets respectively.

In reply, while chasing the target the Sultans batting was all about Aqib Mir who scored unbeaten 35 ball 67. His knock was full of some glamorous shots. Sultans were able to wipe off the target inside 14 overs. Aqib Mir’s knock was the corner stone of the run chase while Imtiyaz Lefty also managed to get going for a while scoring 35 ball 39 runs. The duo helped Sultans to beat Spartan Strikers by seven wickets.

Aaqib Mir for his allround heroics was declared player of the match while Imtiyaz Lefty was given game changer award and Mir was also given Super sixes award.
