Aadil Guldon missed ton, Eagle Sports Sohipora are into the finals of Kupwara Cricket League.

Aadil Guldon’s hammering helped Eagle Sports Sohipora beat the favourites Coaching Centre Kupwara to book their place in the finals of Kupwara cricket league.

Earlier on the day Coaching Centre Kupwara after winning the toss opted to bat first. They started poorly as their top order was sent packing even before the 4th over. Raja Tanveer and veteran Mudasir Lone (Pinto) played some sensible cricket and kept the scoreboard moving. Their 57 run stand steadied the ship of Coaching Centre Kupwara and they managed to post a good total of 156 runs on the board in their allotted 20 overs. For Coaching Centre Kupwara their main man Raja Tanveer remained unbeaten on 57 while Mudasir Lone scored 39 at an impressive strike rate. For Eagle Sports Sohipora the trio of Aamir Hassan, Haris Rashid, and Irfan Marazi bowled brilliantly and also accounted for 8 wickets together with Irfan Marazi taking 3, Aamir Hassan and Haris Rashid getting 2 wickets each.

In reply, while chasing the target Eagle Sports had little hiccups in hunting down the total thanks to the fireworks from T20 specialist Aadil Guldon. They went hard at Coaching Centre bowlers from the word go. The opening duo Aadil and Parvaiz added 92 runs from 45 balls before Parvaiz fell with his individual score being 32. Raja Tanveer did provide some breakthroughs but Aadil GulDon’s 41 ball 98 proved to be too good for Coaching Centre Kupwara.

The Eagle Sports batting helm was all about Aadil Guldon’s 98 and Parvaiz provided a vital contribution of 32 at the top. For Coaching Centre Raja Tanveer was the only bowler who returned with impressive figures of 3 for 17 while the others were hit all around the park. With this emphatic win Eagle Sports Sohipora became the first team to qualify for the finals of Kupwara Cricket League. Later on, Aadil Guldon was awarded the player of the match award.

The league is organised by Valley Boys Cricket Club Kupwara
